Un-Limited Motorsport hit the ground running as official pre-season testing for the 2025 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship got underway at Croft, with Max Hall, Dexter Patterson, and Nick Hamilton all putting in strong performances on day one.

Rookie Max Hall made a statement by setting the fastest time of the day, clocking a 1:20.532s lap to top the timesheets. 18-year-old Max not only showcased his raw pace but also underlined the speed of the new-generation BTCC cars, going comfortably quicker than last year’s qualifying benchmark.

It was also a productive day for Dexter Patterson, who returned to the BTCC after a year away. The Scot made the most of his track time, steadily building confidence and getting back into the rhythm of front-wheel-drive racing. Meanwhile, Nick Hamilton completed an impressive three-hour stint in the morning, racking up 60 laps and gathering crucial long-run data for the team.

Speaking after the day’s running, Team Manager Jamie Warren said:

Jamie Warren, Team Manager: “Max has incredible raw talent. To come into the championship and be this quick straight away is special. We don’t know where others are in their testing, but I know we’re still building. It’s promising, and I’m excited to see what he can do.

Dexter is getting back up to speed after time away—he’s fast and improving every lap. For Nic, this was his first full test day. It takes him longer to get comfortable, but he hit his targets. We had a small boost issue, but the team will sort it overnight.”

The team will be back on track tomorrow for the second day of testing, continuing preparations for the fast-approaching 2025 season.
